The Drs. Crandon and Crandon provide full-scope optometric practice, located conveniently in the heart of downtown. They and their staff are dedicated to providing the highest quality vision care to people in all stages of life in a friendly, comfortable, and professional atmosphere. With consistent staff training, constant new shipments of eye wear products, and state of the art equipment, we go way beyond 20/20.
Dr. Brent Crandon has recently been inducted into the Franklin Harms Society, an honor reserved for those who have completed at least 10 volunteer trips with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH). Dr. Crandon completed his tenth trip in the spring of 2016. He has provided eye care services and eye wear free of charge on various humanitarian missions to Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. He was presented with a plaque and recognition on the VOSH website.
The award is named after Dr. Franklin Harms, a Kansas native like Dr. Crandon, who founded VOSH in the early 1970s. The first VOSH mission was completed in Montemorelos, Mexico in 1972. Since then, VOSH has served over a million people in need.
Crandon & Crandon Optometry continues to accept donations of used glasses in good condition to take on these missions. Dr. Crandon is in the process of planning his future trip, possibly in the spring of 2018.
